Listed with both the National Trust and Heritage Victoria listed cottage is an inspired blend of old and new. Right in the heart of the stunning Barunah Plains you’ll find Cool Cottage. It gets its name as it sits on the bank of the creek and stays cool in the hot summer months.


A white picket fence and bluestone exterior lead you into a magnificently renovated cottage with two bedrooms accommodating up to four people. Each bedroom has built in robes, fresh bed linen and bath towels. The bathroom has a large bath to relax in.


You’ll feel at home in the open plan living area with its fully equipped kitchen and comfortable lounge with a television. The air conditioner or open fire with chopped and stacked wood ensures you are comfortable whatever season you visit us. With Wi-Fi available and comfortable study space, Cool Cottage is a great place to combine work and play.

The Space

Whether your dream getaway involves snuggling up indoors to read a book by the open fire, exploring the neighboring food and wine region, enjoying a picnic on the grounds of the working farm, sitting by the Warrambine Creek searching for the resident platypus, visiting the nearby Great Ocean Road or simply relaxing on the cottage verandah while breathing in the fresh country air,  there’s something for all to enjoy.


At Cool Cottage you’ll be immersed in a tranquil natural setting boasting magnificent views across the Barunah Plains Station. The property offers the use of the tennis court (if the homestead is vacant or if you are into fly fishing we have a stocked dam.

Nearby you can enjoy golf at Barwon Heads, a visit to the Great Ocean Road to see the Twelve Apostles, a drink and some live music at the Inverleigh Pub, or venture out for the best steak in the region at the Beeac Pub. For the ultimate foodie experience, award-winning restaurant Brae is just a short drive down the road.
