Set apart from the main homestead, the Shearers Quarters at Barunah Plains offer a unique and relaxed setting for your next getaway. Whether you're planning a retreat with family, a weekend with friends, or a corporate escape, this historic space is designed to bring people together.
Sleeping up to 42 guests across 16 rooms, there’s plenty of space for everyone to relax and unwind. The quarters feature a fully equipped commercial kitchen, a large dining room, and a spacious sitting room—ideal for shared meals, long conversations, or simply putting your feet up after a day of exploring.
In the cooler months, the large open fireplaces in the main living areas provide a cosy, welcoming warmth, while heaters in each bedroom ensure a comfortable night’s sleep.
Outside, gather around the fire pits with a glass of wine in hand and toast marshmallows under the stars. When summer rolls in, cool off with a refreshing dip in the dam, or set out to explore the farm and historic buildings that make Barunah Plains so special.

Buses can be arranged to take you sightseeing around the local area, to the Great Ocean Road or you can relax in front of the big open fire with a few glasses of wine. We also have caterers that will come to Barunah and cater for your group.
